Overview
Sometimes a scheduled Courier may not run as expected due to data delays, configuration changes, or other temporary issues.
In such cases, users can manually run the Courier for a previous date to ensure the data is processed correctly.
When to Manually Run a Courier
Manual runs are typically required when:
- A scheduled Courier did not execute successfully
- Data for a specific date became available after the scheduled run
- A Courier configuration was updated and needs reprocessing
- Historical data needs to be re-ingested
Steps to Manually Run a Courier for a Past Date
Follow these steps: - Log in to your Amperity tenant.
- Navigate to the Sources tab and select the Couriers section.
- Locate the Courier you want to run. Click the three dots next to the Courier name.
- Select Run.
- In the prompt, choose the specific date for which the Courier needs to be re-run.
- Set Run Type to Ingest Only.
- Click Run to start the manual process.
After the Manual Run - Monitor the Courier status in the workflow page.
- Verify that the expected data has been processed correctly.
- Check logs or outputs if validation is needed.
Important Notes - Manually running a Courier does not affect future scheduled runs.
- Re-running a Courier may reprocess data for the selected date.
- Avoid running overlapping dates unless it is necessary for data correction.
