Overview
Completing Amperity training courses (such as Technical Essentials) does not automatically update or elevate user permissions within an Amperity tenant.
All permission changes must be managed internally by users who have the User Administrator policy assigned.
Why Permissions Are Not Automatically Updated
- Training completion does not trigger permission changes
- Amperity does not auto-assign elevated access after courses
Permissions can only be updated by a user with User Administrator privileges within the tenant
How to Identify a User Administrator in Amperity
Follow the steps below to find who can update permissions:
Step 1: Log in to the Amperity Tenant
Log in to your Amperity tenant using your normal credentials.
Step 2: Open the Settings Page
Click on Settings from the main navigation menu
Navigate to the Users section
Step 3: Review the Users List
The Users page displays a list of all users in the tenant
Select each user as needed to review their assigned policies
Step 4: Identify Users with the “User Administrator” Policy
Look for users who have the User Administrator policy assigned
These users have the ability to:
Modify user access
Assign or update policies
Grant elevated permissions
How to Request Elevated Permissions
Once a User Administrator has been identified:
- Reach out to that user directly within your organization
- Clearly specify:
The permissions or policies you need
The work or use cases requiring elevated access
The User Administrator can then update your permissions from the Settings → Users page.
