Segment Builder Shows No Filters in Amperity

Overview

Sometimes, when creating a segment in Amperity, the Segment Builder may appear with no available filters.
This article explains why this happens and how to resolve it quickly.


Common Symptoms

You may notice:

  • Segment Builder opens successfully

  • Filter list appears empty

  • No attributes are available to build a segment


Why This Happens

In Amperity, this behavior is most commonly caused by a browser caching or session issue.

In these cases:

  • The underlying data and configuration are healthy

  • The issue is local to the browser session

  • No platform outage or data issue is involved


How to Fix the Issue

Try the steps below in order. These resolve the issue in most cases.

Option 1: Log Out and Log Back In

  1. Log out of Amperity

  2. Log back in

  3. Open the Segment Builder again

Option 2: Use an Incognito / Private Window

  1. Open a new incognito or private browser window

  2. Log in to Amperity

  3. Try creating the segment again

Either option clears cached session data and refreshes the UI.


When to Contact Support

If the filters are still missing after trying both steps:

  • Contact Amperity Support

  • Mention that Segment Builder filters are not appearing

  • Support can review session data and confirm platform health


Best Practices

  • Use a fresh browser session if UI behavior looks unusual

  • Log out and back in after long idle sessions

  • Use incognito mode for quick troubleshooting
