When attempting to create a Non-Overlapping Customers audience, you may notice:
- The segment counts never load
- A spinner continues indefinitely
- No audience output is returned
Cause
This behavior can occur in Segments IQ and is not specific to any single tenant or dataset. In some cases, it may also occur if previously referenced segments were deleted, though this is not the only trigger.
Recommended Workaround
If you need to create mutually exclusive audiences, we recommend building the audience logic at the campaign level instead of relying on Non-Overlap functionality.
You can do this by:
- Creating or selecting your desired campaign
- Using inclusion logic to define who should be included
- Using exclusion logic to remove customers you do not want included
- This method reliably produces the correct audience and avoids reliance on the affected Non-Overlap tool.
