Campaign Restart Attempt Outside Supported Retry Window

You might see an error or message when trying to restart a campaign that failed several months ago.
This article explains why older campaigns can’t be retried and what you can do instead.

Problem:

A user tried to restart a failed campaign that was more than six months old, which is outside Amperity’s supported retry window.
Due to system design, campaigns that are past this window can’t be restarted directly.

Root Cause:

Amperity allows campaigns to be retried or restarted only within a specific time window after they originally ran.

Once that period passes:

  • The campaign’s supporting workflow data and dependencies are archived or expired.
  • This means the system no longer has the information needed to reprocess the campaign.

This behavior is intentional — it helps maintain data integrity and prevents outdated or incorrect audience data from being sent.

Solution:

If you need to resend or re-run an older campaign, here’s what to do instead:

  1. Duplicate the campaign in the Amperity UI.
  2. Review and update any campaign details — such as the audience, destination, or content.
  3. Schedule it as a new campaign run.

This ensures the campaign runs with current data and avoids any issues with expired workflows.
