Why Can’t I See a Newly Added Table in My Inbound Share Yet?

Overview

When a new table is added to an inbound share (for example, DEV_PUBLISHED_AMPERITY_DB.AMPERITY), it may not appear immediately. This short delay is normal and happens while the system processes and syncs new data.

What’s Happening

After a table is published, Amperity needs some time to complete internal synchronization and make the new table available in your inbound share. Depending on system activity, this can take up to 3 hours.

How to Check and What to Do

  1. Wait for the sync to complete.
Most tables appear automatically within a few hours.

  2. Confirm the correct table name.
Double-check that you’re looking for the right table name in the correct share location (for example, DEV_PUBLISHED_AMPERITY_DB.AMPERITY).

  3. Refresh your inbound share.
Reopen or refresh your data view after some time to see if the table is now visible.

  4. Still can’t see it after 3 hours?
Contact Amperity Support. Include the following details so we can investigate quickly:

    • Your tenant name

    • The expected table name

    • The share name (for example, DEV_PUBLISHED_AMPERITY_DB.AMPERITY)

    • Approximate time when the table was added

Example

A customer recently added a table named AMPERITY_ACCOUNT_360 to their inbound share. It didn’t appear right away but showed up after about 3 hours, confirming that the delay was due to normal system sync time.

Summary

  • New tables may take up to 3 hours to appear in inbound shares.

  • No action is needed during this time.

  • If the table is still missing after 3 hours, reach out to Amperity Support for help.
