Connecting the Unified Paid Media Table to Existing Campaigns

Problem

After enabling the Unified Paid Media table in your database, you may wonder how to connect it with your existing campaigns.
Common questions include:

  • Is the table automatically applied to campaigns?

  • Do we need to reconnect or recreate our campaigns manually?

Solution

The Unified Paid Media table is not automatically connected to your existing campaigns.
You’ll need to manually link it to any paid media campaigns (such as Google Ads, Meta, or TikTok) to begin using it for activations.

Follow the steps below to connect and activate the table properly.

Step 1: Add the Unified Paid Media table to your Customer 360 database

  1. Go to your Customer 360 database.

  2. Click Edit → Add Table.

  3. Name the table Unified_Paid_Media.

  4. Select the SQL template for Unified Paid Media.

  5. Validate the SQL and adjust row limits if needed (default: up to 10 emails, phones, or addresses per Amperity ID).

  6. Save the table.

Step 2: Activate audiences from the Unified Paid Media table

  1. After adding the table, go to Audiences.

  2. Create or edit an audience using the Unified_Paid_Media table.

  3. Activate the audience to your connected paid media platforms (Google Ads, Meta, TikTok, etc.).

  4. This helps increase total matched customers by including more known identifiers.

Step 3: Choose which campaigns to connect

  • You can connect all campaigns that are linked to paid media channels, or only specific ones.

  • You don’t need to create new campaigns unless you want to A/B test performance with the new table.

Step 4: Monitor and optimize performance

  • Track key metrics across:

    • Amperity indicators: Revenue, Conversion

    • Paid media indicators: CPA, CPC, ROAS

    • Owned media indicators: Engagement metrics

  • Compare results between Merged Customers and Unified Paid Media to understand which setup gives better reach and match rates.

Key Takeaways

  • The Unified Paid Media table must be manually connected to campaigns.

  • Use the Operator Guide and Paid Media documentation for setup and activation details.

  • The table helps you reach more matched customers across platforms.

  • No need to rebuild campaigns—manual connection is enough.
