Overview
An error message "error running segment" appears when attempting to download contacts from a segment. The contact data does not load and cannot be downloaded. Rebuilding the segment as a new copy did not resolve the issue.
Problem:
While downloading contacts from the segment, users may encounter "Error running segment" or the contacts may fail to load/download.
The segment count is displayed correctly, but the actual contacts are not getting downloaded.
Root Cause
This issue usually occurs due to local network, browser cache, cookies, or device settings.
The segment itself is working correctly on the platform, but contacts are not downloading due to the user’s local environment.
Solution
Use Incognito / Private Browsing
Open the segment in an Incognito / Private browsing window and try downloading it.
Clear Browser Cache and Cookies
Clear your browser’s cache and cookies, then access the segment again.
Try a Different Network or Device
If the issue persists, try accessing the segment from a different network (e.g., mobile hotspot) or a different device.
Contact Support
If the issue continues after trying these steps, contact the Support team. They will assist you in resolving it quickly.
Note:
In this issue, the segment itself is functioning correctly. The problem is caused only by the user’s local environment.
Following the steps above resolves the download issue in most cases.
