Issue Summary
Customers may face an issue when attempting to use Customer Match Lists in Google Ads after linking their Amperity account. The error received typically reads:
"Amperity has been linked to the Google Ads account, but due to the domains which are flagged for 'Health' and 'Sexual Interests', the account is not eligible for using the customer match lists."
Root Cause
This issue is related to Google Ads’ policy restrictions. Google applies strict advertising rules around certain content categories, including:
Health-related topics
Sexual interests or sensitive categories
If a customer’s domain is flagged under either of these, Customer Match Lists and similar ad personalization features may be disabled.
Resolution Steps
Customer Action:
The customer must engage directly with their Google Ads representative or use Google Ads Support to resolve the issue.
Google is the only party that can provide clarification or adjust policy enforcement on flagged domains.
Amperity Action:
Amperity does not have access to Google’s internal policy systems and cannot override content flags.
No technical workaround exists to bypass Google Ads restrictions in such cases.
Important Notes
This issue is not related to Amperity's configuration or functionality.
Google’s policy decisions are final unless they decide otherwise.
No alternative methods are currently supported to enable Customer Match Lists for flagged domains.
